The Government of Ireland International Education Scholarship (GOI-IES) 2026 is currently open for high-achieving international students wishing to study at University College Dublin (UCD) and other eligible Irish institutions. This prestigious award is intended for one year of full-time postgraduate study at NFQ levels 9 or 10.

Scholarship Overview
Award Type: Fully Funded.
Stipend: €10,000 for one academic year to cover living costs.
Tuition: Full tuition and registration fee waiver provided by the host university (UCD).
Duration: One year (non-renewable).
Deadline: 12 March 2026, 5:00 PM (Irish Time).

Eligibility Requirements
To be eligible for the 2026 cycle, applicants must meet the following criteria:
Nationality: Domiciled outside the EU/EEA, Switzerland, and the United Kingdom. (Note: Russian and Belarusian nationals are ineligible for this cycle).
University Offer: You must already hold a conditional or final offer of admission to an eligible full-time postgraduate program (Master’s, PhD, or Postgraduate Diploma) at UCD at the time of application.
Prior Awards: Must not have previously held a GOI-IES scholarship.

Application Process
The application is entirely online and must be submitted through the Official GOI-IES Application Portal.
Required Documents:
Proof of Admission: An official offer letter, offer email from the Admissions Office, or a screenshot of the applicant portal confirming an offer for 2026/27.
Two References: Must be uploaded directly via the online portal by the applicant.
Personal Statement: Used to demonstrate academic excellence, leadership potential, and why you wish to study in Ireland.
