The LSHTM ISEP Scholarship 2026 (Postgraduate Training Fellowship in Medical Statistics) is a fully funded two-year programme. It is designed for residents and nationals of sub-Saharan African countries to strengthen research capacity in the region.
Fellowship Structure
Year 1: Full-time MSc in Medical Statistics at LSHTM in the UK.
Year 2: A practical research placement at an ISEP partner institution in sub-Saharan Africa, such as the MRC Unit The Gambia or APHRC.

Eligibility Requirements
Nationality: Resident/national of a sub-Saharan African country.
Education & Experience: 2:1 degree or higher in mathematics, statistics, or related field, plus at least one year of experience in medical statistics or epidemiology.
Language: Must meet LSHTM English requirements.
Exclusivity: Cannot be combined with other funding sources.
